My favorite meal as a kid, my mom was a single mom who made this alot because it was cheap, but I absolutely loved it every time she made it ❤ browned hamburger, white rice, salt, pepper and butter mixed together. So simple and good! Now what to make with this left over hamburger

Ingredients:

  • Leftover browned hamburger (about 1 pound)
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (any color you prefer)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.75 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter for greasing the casserole dish
  • Optional: Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a casserole dish with butter.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the leftover browned hamburger, cooked white rice, shredded cheddar cheese, diced onions, diced bell peppers, and minced garlic.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the soup mixture over the hamburger and rice mixture, and stir until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the greased casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly, and the top is golden brown.
